Near Alvor Airport, at the end of Rua Cap. Barroso, there is an interesting little birdwatching spot. There you can watch the birds of the Odiexere River branch next to a small dam.

This time, during about half an hour of observation, I saw a Common redshank, 2 Common greenshank, 3 White storks, 2 Great cormorants, a Little egret, a Great egret, a Grey heron, a Iberian magpie, and a Common blackbird.
